This six-hour workshop covers how to create and optimize web graphics with ImageReady and the new features introduced in Adobe Photoshop 6.0.

Adobe Photoshop 6.0 adds several significant new features, making Photoshop more web savy. Adobe ImageReady 3.0, a program for optimizing web graphics, is now Integrated into Photoshop. ImageReady is no longer available as a stand alone application that comes bundled with Photoshop. It now comes as a companion program which is launched from Photoshop's toolbar.

WORKSHOP 4 OUTLINE

Art History Brush: Creates realistic brush strokes from your image.

Background Eraser: Allows you to remove a figure from the background.

Layer Effects Styles: Now you can save and apply layer effects.

Save for Web: The Save for Web dialogue shows four-panel preview allowing you to dial-in and optimize settings and see the resulting compression before saving.

Slicing Tools: Image slicing allows you to handle different areas of a graphic by applying different types of compression and mouse-overs.

JavaScript Rollover Effects: This ImageReady feature gives you the ability to create rollover buttons, allowing you to attach html links, alt tags and javascripting messages directly in the program.

Animated GIFs: ImageReady's ability to create animated GIFs gives you the ultimate in control, including tweening and layer attributes.
