PHOTOSHOP WORKSHOP 2

WORKSHOP 2 OUTLINE
After covering pixel fundamentals in course 1, this workshop covers Photoshop's powerful collaging and montaging capabilities. These pictures of San Francisco's Palace of Fine Arts were taken with an Epson digital camera and composited in Photoshop 5.5. Adjustments were made for tone and the images were montaged together to make the picture at the top of this page. This is one of the case studies covered in this second workshop in the Photoshop Workshops series, focusing on the program's ability to collage and montage using layers and layer effects.

Intermediate Cloning with the Rubber Stamp
Workshop 2 expands on the subtleties of cloning with the all powerful Rubber Stamp tool. Also includes patterns and creating texture-maps.

Selections 2
Using the Quick Mask mode we learn the incredibly subtle possibilities available when painting selections and the power of gradiating selections. We'll also introduce Pen Paths using Photoshop's powerful vector-based Pen Tool. Also: transforming and modifying selections.

Transformations
The key to tweaking perspective and constructing 3D space. We cover both basic transformations and the free transform mode using the Rafael Theater marquee case study.

Layers
The bulk of workshop 2 is devoted to layers, layer masks, adjustment layers, layer effects and shadows, type layers, transparency, opacity, blending modes and loading selections from layers.

Type
Now we'll uncover Photoshop's newly supercharged type-handling capabilities. Includes layer effects and shadows.
